Are there enough? is a video and lesson plan. There are three areas of focus for the child:
- To help children to develop strategies for estimating numbers of things and to approximate answers to calculations
- To help children to develop a sense of what a good estimate is (and to get rid of the idea of correct or exact answers in estimating)
- To help children to see that estimating is a process which can change as more information is gained
